We’re very proud to announce that Wainsgate artist Weston Hammond is this year’s winner of the Waterside Open 2012 Best in Show, Waterside Art Centre, 1 Waterside Plaza, Sale M33 7ZF.

This is the brand new Wainsgate website. Over the next few weeks we’ll fill the pages with information about all the artists who work here plus plans for future concerts. You’ll also be able to find out how the building repair work is going.

In September 2011 building work started on the exterior of both the Chapel and the Sunday School. Builders were here for 10 weeks weatherproofing the walls most in the line of fire from the weather, replacing windows and putting in new rainwater drainage. The buildings are now watertight (pretty much!). Two thirds of the £70.000 cost came from English Heritage, the remainder from local sponsors and charities plus a substantial contribution from the Friends of Wainsgate.
