Every year more people are killed at work than in wars. Most don’t die of mystery ailments, or in tragic “accidents”. They die because an employer decided their safety just wasn’t that important a priority. International Workers Memorial Day 28 April commemorates those workers.<\/p>
Wainsgate Chapel are. continuing to host this annual event to acknowledge the people of the Calder Valley and beyond whose lives have been affected by living and working in the area.<\/p>
There will be a poetry reading, speeches and music to mark this event. There will be refreshments and information on how Wainsgate chapel plan to create a memorial garden to commemorate this event.<\/p>
