It is with great pleasure that we welcome Charlotte Carrivick back to Hebden Bridge. She and sister Laura performed at the Trades Cub in 2011 and again at Wainsgate Chapel in 2015 both as part of the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival. The sisters then returned to Wainsgate in 2016 with their exciting quartet Cardboard Fox.

With a shared passion for modern bluegrass, The Charlotte Carrivick Band brings together four of the most exciting musicians in the UK today. Together, their music is at times joyous, poignant, dark, pensive or exuberant with virtuosic instrumentals and close harmony singing.

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, singer and songwriter, Charlotte Carrivick is a flatpicking guitarist of international renown, sought for her inventive lead playing and regarded as an expert fiddle tune interpreter on the guitar. As a founding member of IBMA award -nominated, Island Records – signed bluegrass powerhouse band, Midnight Skyracer, her taste covers the breadth of the genre as well as taking influence from old time and jazz. It was during the recording of her debut solo album Sensible or Otherwise, showcasing her guitar playing and tune writing, that the band was formed.

As one half of the The Carrivick Sisters, Charlotte grew up with a love of American Bluegrass and Old Time music alongside her twin sister, Laura, in South Devon. After many years of playing and writing together as well as touring across the UK, Europe and Canada, the duo released their 5th studio album at the end of 2022 to critical acclaim.
