A one-off, intimate, acoustic concert given by The Lounge Society. This band, who all hail from the Upper Calder Valley, have come to prominence nationally since 2020 with their politically charged songs underpinned by great dance beats and Indie-punk attitude. However for their Wainsgate concert, in a unique, unplugged departure from their normal style, The Lounge Society will be performing acoustically to a sit-down audience.
“Although a political agenda is nothing new for a band – especially in a punk sphere – when it comes to The Lounge Society it feels strikingly fresh and authentic. The band’s Northern upbringing – which they describe as “a combination of beauty and terror” – gives them a different perspective” The Independent
“… it’s an invigorating and unique take on class war that says they’re anything but another British guitar band shaking fists at the government; Lounge Society stand their ground firmly and loudly make their demands” NME
