Dave Nelson’s Christmas Singalong
A round-the-piano family celebration

Saturday December 16 5pm £10/£4 (u-18) SOLD OUT

ADVANCE BOOKINGS ONLY – NOW SOLD OUT

The Christmas Singalong, the first since 2019, is taking place here at Wainsgate Chapel this year.

It’s more than 30 years since Dave Nelson started the Singalong as a semi-regular fixture in the Hebden Bridge festive calendar. Back then it was held at the Nutclough House Hotel since when it’s had various venues including most recently Hebden Bridge Town Hall.

It’s an old-fashioned, ‘round the piano’ opportunity to sing along to all those favourite Christmas songs and carols with interjections from Wainsgate Waits who’ll sing some carols in 4-part harmony and Peadar Long who will blow your socks off with his Christmas offering. There’ll be music as you arrive, provided by Twig and Wonkeyman (aka Hazel Bone on Harp and Jim Ledwidge on concertina). Mainly though, the event is all about people getting together and singing along together with gusto to welcome in the festive season.

There’ll be mince pies, mulled wine and plenty of Yuletide cheer.

The funds raised at this event will go towards improvements to the building.

And don’t forget there’s our fabulous ‘Advent at Wainsgate‘ event on Saturday 2 December 11-5.

There’s a regular bus service to the end of Wainsgate Lane and disabled parking only at the venue. We regret that whilst there is an accessible toilet on the ground floor there is, as yet, no lift to the Sunday School room.
