The Nightcreatures are a brassy 6-piece New Orleans R&B band specialising in Swamp Funk, Voodoo Blues and Mardi Gras street beats. Their hugely catchy repertoire includes a varied mixture of classic New Orleans material, old time blues (reworking songs that were originally recorded by the likes of classic bluesmen Blind Willie Johnson, Leadbelly, Screaming Jay Hawkins and Jelly Roll Morton) and some great rock/pop covers given the inimitable Nightcreatures’ treatment.

In the true spirit of the city they bring together songs sourced from such diverse artists as Prince, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Waits and Ian Drury, as well as from New Orleans greats like Allen Toussaint, Dr John, Professor Longhair, James Booker and many of the great NOLA (New Orleans, Louisiana) brass bands.

The Nightcreatures boast a rich and well-defined sound with powerful vocals, exceptional instrumental playing and a strong and seductive rhythm section that will have the Wainsgate audience up on its feet and dancing the midsummer night away.
